In other blogs I read I saw the concept of meme. I am still not sure what the hell it means but Ahab started one I must join: My Five Favorite Airplanes.
#5: C47 Dakota. Workhorse of WWII and still flying. Endurance above all.
#4: B-17 Flying Fortress. The Hammer of Thor and Hell Unleashed in WWII.
#3: P-51 Mustang. Classic, Fast, Deadly.
#2: F-22 Raptor. Terminator of the Skies. 
#1: SR-71 Blackbird. Still the best plane ever. Some modern planes only dream of doing 10% of what this old bird did.
