Chronicle of a Death Foretold

The Anti Gun pundits are shocked that the Massacre in Virginia Tech. But I wonder if they are really shocked or shocked that their master plan failed so miserably. Touted as the Final Solution against Gun Violence in Schools, the Gun Free Zones was adopted and made law by almost every institute of learning. They promised parents and students safety from the evil people of the world. This was, obviously a fraudulent assertion which was paid in blood. In 2006, Virginia Tech Administration helped shoot down a bill that would have allowed citizens with concealed permits to carry their guns on campus. The V-Tech admins were static that the bill died before even making it to the floor. Larry Hincker, a V-Tech spoke-person said: "I'm sure the university community is appreciative of the General Assembly's actions because this will help parents, students, faculty and visitors feel safe on our campus." I am wondering how happy is Mr. Hincker feeling this morning. Unfortunately, we in the Gun Community were not surprised by the shooting. We were angry, frustrated and upset at the senseless deaths and I don't know anybody who did not wish he or she was there to stop the massacre. But again, we were not surprised because we were expecting this total failure of the Gun-Free Zone. We knew it was coming. We warned about it over and over but were ignored by politicos and Media who "knew" better than logic and real experts. Nobody is saying that an Armed Citizen would have stopped the tragedy altogether. Maybe, maybe not. But Virginia Tech's Gun Free Zone proved that when you disarm people, you guarantee their massacre by those who refuse to follow the rules. You will hear a lot of people in the Media and politics blame the NRA, Guns & anybody they can think of about the Virginia Tech Massacre because they know 32 people died because they helped sell the mortally flawed concept of a Gun-Free Zone. They know their blood is in their hands and do not like it.
